Music video
For my music video i plan to use media language to create a pop video that will appeal to a fun-loving 16-25 year old mass market demographic. I will need to have a clear concept of fun, happiness and enjoyment whilst making sure it sticks to a strict mainstream appeal without any edgy, dark or risky factors appearing. To ensure it is mainstream my Popstar and people featuring in the video will wear branded and popular clothing. Also to ensure this looks professional and top quality i will include high quality range of shots with frequent editing but will also be bright and fun loving to ensure it meets its target audience. One shot i intend to use is where the camera will follow the actor with a smooth approach and i will use this by attaching the camera to a skateboard and for that skateboard to be pulled along following the actor. The locations of my video will range from urban to rural areas to reflect that my Pop Star has no limits and no hesitations to do anything, which refers back to the lyrics of the song - 'Feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in' The artist is telling people to let go and don't live by other peoples standards and just live your life. The meaning and expression of these lyrics will appeal to my audience as the majority of 16 - 25 year old want to break free from there lives and to be truly happy therefore this will encourage and inspire the viewers. This leads the audience to drive their emotions and concerns away from their day to day anxiety, stress and problems, and to feel stress free and relaxed when listening and watching my music video. My song is originally 4 minutes and 19 seconds therefore i will have to edit it and crop it to 3 minutes, i intend to use the first verse, the chorus and the hook but i may have to change this to the first and second verse and one chorus as my original idea may not flow. I will intend to follow the lyrics by a mix of performance and montage by frequently using shots that follow the lyrics and lip-syncing but also using dance and performance shots to counterbalance these. I will use both genders in my video to make sure there are two social groups involved and this will also make sure that all genders watching will feel included and the whole experience of my video will inspire them to achieve for success and to be the best they possibly can be. I will use stereotypes in my video to ensure this appeals to a mainstream audience however i will also use an anti-stereotype y representing young people combined with unusual references of upper class traditionalism to play with audience expectation of the pop genre. Also, in the song there is a lyric saying 'I break tradition' and this is where i plan to use bricolage in the form of juxtaposed references, i will do this by including frequent shots of my artist on a horse in a country styled outfit in a urban/rural location. This will also include the minority in the audience which applies to a bigger audience overall.

For my website i aim to use the appropriate codes and conventions to ensure my website looks professional, official and pop cultured. To ensure this looks professional i will make sure there is a menu bar at the top which will be easily accessible which will include links to other aspects of my website and will also include social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat ect. The use of social media will allow the audience to feel included in the artists life and to use this as an opportunity to provide feedback and comments and also this is a common feature on other artist websites therefore it is a necessity. I will also include a behind the scenes video and pictures to help the audience interact further and get more involved with the artists life and allow them to see what life my artists lives off camera and into a more natural setting. I will also include my artists logo and the record labels logo clearly therefore viewers will easily recognise who's website it is and what production company was involved. In the menu bar there will be links a 'Home' and 'About' sections where viewers will able to interact with the website giving it more of a professional feel which will draw the mainstream audience in. Throughout my website i intend to keep the colour scheme bright colours (E.g yellow , Pink) to fit with the lyrics of my song and the clothing in my music video. This is will link back to my video therefore a clear colour scheme is noticeable and powerful. There will also be Tour dates and the single cover on my website to enable viewers to interact with my artists music.

As an emerging artist, she will need constant and professional branding images spread all over media platforms. I intend to do this by including a bright colour scheme between my website and the clothes in my video and this will create a sense of identity which my mass audience can participate in. I will also include the artists logo in my video to promote my artists website and artist themselves which the mass audience will be able to recognise and enjoy seeing. To promote the ideologies of freedom and lack of inhibition i will ensure my artist is smiling and confident throughout my video to show shes care-free and create a positive image of herself.
